first_imgThe audience knows you mainly as a sports presenter, now a change awaits you. What attracted you to moderating Sam at Home? You won’t enjoy as much adrenaline and tension as in sports during lifestyle conversations. On the contrary, I think the adrenaline will be up in an hour and a half of live broadcasts. I am looking forward to it so much. That’s what attracted me to Sam at home. I don’t really enjoy the improvisation in front of the camera at Branek Points of Seconds, news is just another discipline. You studied history-philosophy, at the same time you spent several years at the Faculty of Law, now you are a professional sport. That’s a pretty wide range of interests. Are you looking forward to meeting inspiring people from different industries in the new show? This is exactly the main reason why the offer attracted me. Interesting guests from many fields go to Sam at home and it is my duty to study their work and to orientate in topics. I am excited that my lifelong curiosity and desire to learn new things now has an official dimension. You will continue to play sports on TV. How can it be combined? Or does this dynamism and diversity suit you on the contrary?I love it. When I do sports for a while and other topics for a while, I have a much greater appetite for work. My boss perceives that this is an opportunity for me to move somewhere again, he congratulated me on his success and I am grateful for that. I’ve been working in the sports newsroom for sixteen years and I still enjoy it. In addition, my son was three years old in June, he will go to kindergarten after the holidays, so I will make good use of the freer program.Have you ever thought in the past that you could moderate Sam at home?Actually, no, because I take the show as relaxation and I didn’t imagine that it could ever be work. It is a fact that our three children also know the jingle and can sing it. When I once asked for fun if they could handle the jingle of Goals of Points of Seconds, which has been almost unchanged since 1956, only the oldest Elenka could do it. I’ll have to finish them. What do you like about the show? What topics will be closest to you?I like it overall. It’s a nice show with interesting guests. When you look at him, you really know something. Moreover, in such a non-violent form. I’ve always watched him in kindergarten, and when I have time, I always turn it on. I know it may sound weird, but I’m really looking forward to all the topics.Barbora ČernoškováHow did the moderation offer come about and did you accept it immediately, or did you have to consider it?In May, my phone rang if I would like to come to the audition. I was interested in how new presenters are selected for such a show, so I went and it was a great experience. Only when I accidentally saw a list of candidates in the make-up room did it seem almost impossible for me to succeed. But it worked. I then had to decide with the director whether the new job could be combined with the existing one, or whether I would have to make a decision. I’m glad it worked out the way I wanted it to.You will moderate in a pair with Lucie Křížková, have you seen each other and tried to cooperate? How will you do it?We saw each other a few times when I was at Sam’s home as a guest. And Lucka was also part of the audition, because it was a model broadcast in pairs. With Lucka and also Jana Havrdová. They were both very nice. I’ve known Lucka from the screen for years, I remember cheering for her when she won Miss Czech Republic as an athlete. Paradoxically, I knew more about her husband David, who is an excellent yachtsman and also worked as an Olympic expert on Czech Television. Will there be any other changes with you in the format of the show, which will start the 23rd season in September?I don’t know everything about them yet, we will still have meetings. But the most important thing will definitely remain. That it will be a nice show that people will be happy to watch. Perhaps I will contribute a little to that as well.last_img read more
