The stray was disheveled, malnourished, and covered in ticks.Glankler took the dog home, gave it some food, cleaned it up, and took to the Lost Pets Boise Facebook page asking if anyone recognized it.Several users remarked on how the stray looked remarkably like the dog from the Cameron family’s posters several months ago. Three takeaways from No. 11 UCF’s win over No. 24 Cincinnati

Three takeaways from No. 11 UCF’s win over No. 24 Cincinnati

first_imgFormer Viera Hawk WR Tre Nixon with a UCF TD!!! pic.twitter.com/4ZcmjIDbcO— Viera Hawks Football (@VieraHawks) November 18, 2018Rushing yards don’t matterYes, UCF didn’t run the ball well Saturday. The Golden Knights had 134 rushing yards and really struggled to get anything going up the middle for the majority of the first three quarters. However, who cares? Honestly. The number of rushing yards UCF gets does not matter at all.The reason for that is the screen game. UCF runs a lot of quick screens to wide receivers and running backs and even uses short hot routes and option routes to pick up yards on first down. Just like a running game. Texas Tech did this under Mike Leach and now Washington State does it under the Pirate.Baylor did it under Art Briles, Ohio State does it under Urban Meyer, Oregon did it under Chip Kelly and heck, the Patriots do it under Bill Belichick. The number of rushing yards in a game does not matter. What matters is being able to get three or four yards on first down, or even 3rd and short. UCF just does it with wide receivers while Alabama does it with running backs. That idea leads our three takeaways from No. 11 UCF’s win over No. 24 Cincinatti.UCF doesn’t have a chance, and that’s unfortunateAnswer this question honestly: did you think UCF would beat Auburn last year? Now, that you’ve answered that correctly (no), also answer this query: do you think UCF could beat Michigan this season? What about Notre Dame? Oklahoma? West Virginia? Washington State? Ohio State? Even LSU? We know you can answer questions correctly, so we also know you said some variation of — of course they could. Now we also pose this question: is the College Football Playoff for the best four teams, or the most deserving four teams? Because wasn’t it supposed to be for the best four teams? And if that’s the case, can’t you make a case that UCF could be better than seven of the teams ranked above them? Or on the other side, couldn’t they also be the most deserving?First, no one thought they were better than Auburn, and they were the better team on the field during their bowl game, plain and simple. Second, by quality wins (wins over currently ranked opponents) UCF is absolutely as deserving as at least five of the teams ranked above them this season. Ohio State, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Michigan and Washington State all have one win or less over teams currently ranked in the top 25 by the CFP playoff rankings. Those teams also have at least one loss. Then you jump to the question, could UCF beat Notre Dame? Could they beat a team like LSU that has problems offensively? The answer is certainly yes. All that is said to also say this — the idea that UCF is so outclassed by the other top 10 teams, which many pundits would have you believe, may be overstated. The CFP doesn’t give UCF a chance based on those ideas and honestly, it’s unfortunate.Try, try againOk, that one was long, so we promise to be quick here. McKenzie Milton is good for several reasons: he has a better arm than people think, he can buy extra time and he can drop it on a dime to receivers on deep routes. He can even do that when he shouldn’t have the confidence to do so. In the second quarter Milton dropped a great pass into wide receiver Tre Nixon for a sure touchdown and he dropped it. Normal men wouldn’t throw it back to the man who dropped the pass after something like that, but Milton isn’t normal. He went right back to Nixon and put it in the same spot. This time Nixon caught it. That confidence and faith in his receivers is why Milton is so good. Quarterback McKenzie Milton told reporters this week that you couldn’t “tell (him) Notre Dame is a better team than (UCF).” The Fighting Irish got a big win over Syracuse Saturday, but the Golden Knights dominated a pretty good team in the Bearcats. UCF has faced every test that has been put in front of it for two years now.All Milton wants is a shot. He probably just won’t get it. Related News The Golden Knights cannot be stopped. No. 11 UCF took down No. 24 Cincinnati 38-13 Saturday to move to 10-0 on the season while winning its 23rd game in a row.UCF may have the 119th ranked strength of schedule in college football this season, but when they finally got a chance to take on a ranked opponent this season they left no doubt.
